That is good news. If Christ had not been raised from the dead, then what are we living for? We might as well; just be merry, live and have a good time until we die.
There are many people who live with that mindset; and they do it because they are afraid of the judgment that will come upon them when they pass from this life to the next.
I’m not just referring to the Sadducees during the time of Jesus, but modern day Sadducees. These are people who refuse to believe that there will be a resurrection of the dead; and that we shall all be judged for the things we have done while we were alive here on earth.
I don’t want you to become paranoid concerning the resurrection of the dead. I’m telling you this because you may have friends or family who fit that description; and you will be able to minister to them; and offer them a new perspective on what lies in the future.
You may be the only vessel that God would use to tell them about this lively HOPE that is found in Jesus Christ. The Resurrection of the dead is what gives all of us HOPE; a lively HOPE
