#4 - Maria Caputo shares about her song "Curious"

Maria Caputo (she/her/hers) blends technical and creative skills in her career as a musician. She is a composer; pianist and vocalist; music director, conductor, pit musician, accompanist, and rehearsal pianist; transcriber and copyist; and a piano technician.  Maria recently completed her second year at the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Writing Workshop as a composer. She and lyricist Allison Light penned four songs for their second-year project: a musical adaptation of STARDUST (2007).  Her first single, "Curious", and accompanying music were released on all platforms on September 12, 2020. She also posts live performance videos and eccentric short videos on her YouTube channel.  Maria is 1/3 of Classy Dame, a Brooklyn-based trio that meets at the intersection of musical theatre, Ben Folds, and Tune-Yards. She also plays keys and sings with Lily Desmond's project Lily and the Goddamns, a full-band treatment of Lily's genre-bending violin-led tunes.

She shares about her song "Curious", which is out now on all platforms! We also talk about the music video for Curious, which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDxc6Gqo32I

She also has an EP coming out soon with her band Classy Dame called Shut Your Mouth So The Bees Don’t Get In.
