Prayer and Promises (2022)

God’s 10 problem-solving devices are divine resources you need to use during your time on earth. By using the faith-rest drill, (the third problem-solving device), it is possible to have peace and a relaxed mental attitude during conflict. This is how God intends for you to live. “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You because he trusts in You” (Is 26:3). When someone is facing personal difficulty you can offer intercessory prayer and help them recall relevant promises that will act as comfort in times of testing. Scripture has a calming effect on Christians. “Likewise the Holy Spirit also helps in our weaknesses for we do not know what we should pray as we ought to pray but the Spirit Himself makes intercessions for us” (Rom 8:26).
