Melissa's journey in the arts and entertainment world began as a professional dancer, touring with the prestigious National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica.Melissa's film career behind the camera began in 2007, producing music videos for internationally renowned artists such as Rihanna, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Ricky Martin, CeeLo Green, Chris Brown, and The City Girls.

Since then, she’s been a Line Producer for a wide range of independent feature films and series on platforms like Amazon Prime, BET+, Tubi, and ALLBLK including "King of the Dancehall," Nick Cannon's directorial debut, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2016.
