The Gideon Mantle and the Elijah Anointing — A Call to Family Revival

Challenging socially accepted church norms and soft Christianity.

From the beginning of time, God has been telling one continuous story — a story of redemption, obedience, and family.
Each generation carries a piece of that story, and every family line holds something sacred to steward. When God calls a person, He’s not just calling an individual — He’s calling a bloodline.

In this episode, Cassie shares a deeply personal story of what it looked like when God called her to tear down the idols in her own family line and step into the call of both the Gideon Mantle and the Elijah Anointing.

It’s a message about generational obedience — about what happens when God chooses a person to break patterns, rebuild altars, and model covenant in a modern world.

✔️ The Gideon Mantle begins with personal obedience and family purity — courage to confront what’s hidden so God’s presence can dwell again in the home.
✔️ The Elijah Anointing moves through the power of the Holy Spirit—bringing reconciliation, restoring hearts, and preparing families for revival.

Together, they mark a prophetic pattern for this generation: repentance, reconciliation, and family revival.

What You’ll Hear in This Episode:

  • How God calls families, not just individuals

  • The story of Cassie’s first encounter with the Holy Spirit at 18 — and the word that shaped her calling: “Be obedient, or your family will not succeed.”

  • What it looks like to carry the Gideon Mantle — tearing down idols and confronting generational patterns

  • How the Elijah Anointing restores hearts and relationships

  • Why obedience, repentance, and reconciliation are keys to revival in this generation

  • A prophetic call for families to rise up and rebuild altars at home

  • Scriptures Mentioned:

    • Judges 6 — Gideon tears down his father’s idols

    • Malachi 4:5–6 — Elijah turns the hearts of fathers to children

    • Psalm 78:5–7 (NIV) — “He commanded our ancestors to teach their children… so the next generation would know Him.”

    • Deuteronomy 30:19–20 (NIV) — “Now choose life, so that you and your children may live…”

    The Prayer Strategist Prayer Life

    The Prayer Strategist’s Life

Operating with authority, insight, and intentionality in your prayer life.

In this final episode of the Her Prayer Life mini-series, Cassie unpacks what it means to move from intercession to strategy and where prayer becomes partnership and revelation becomes divine blueprints.

The prayer strategist isn’t just someone who prays for answers—she’s invited into divine collaboration. She’s been refined by fire, tested through seasons of silence, and trained to discern Heaven’s instructions with clarity and courage.

Jeremiah 33:3 becomes her calling card:

“Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you great and mighty things you do not know.”

This episode explores the making of a prayer strategist. The process of moving from burden to blueprint, from sensitivity to authority, and from striving to stewardship.

    • How refinement, testing, and surrender shape a strategist

    • Three biblical examples of prayer strategists (Joseph, Nehemiah, Deborah, and the ultimate one, Jesus)

    • The difference between intercessors and strategists

    • How spiritual authority is formed in hidden obedience, not public recognition

    • What prayer strategists struggle with—and what they truly need to stay anchored in intimacy and purity

  • Scripture Mentioned:

    • Jeremiah 33:3 — “Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you great and mighty things which you do not know.”

    • Daniel 2:21 — “He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”

    • James 1:3 — “The testing of your faith produces endurance.”

    The Intercessor's Prayer Life

There’s been an increased stirring in the Spirit, a Holy unrest one could say, calling intercessors to rise up and pray over their families, their regions, and their land.
Maybe you’ve dismissed it, thinking you’re just too emotional, too sensitive, too busy, or too unhealthy. But this isn’t random sensitivity; there’s a divine invitation brewing across the earth.

The Father is restoring His watchmen and His weeping women. He’s calling us out of hiding and confusion and into a maturity marked by love, purity, and healthy discernment.

In this episode, Cassie unpacks what it means to live as an intercessor—someone called to stand in the gap with compassion, clarity, and courage. She explores three types of intercessors, what intercessors struggle with, what they might need, and how to release what’s not yours to carry so you can pray from a place of surrender, not striving.

What you’ll hear in this episode:

    • The three types of intercessors

    • The tension between discernment and suspicion

    • How to release what’s not yours to carry

    • Why obedience and surrender are the foundation of pure intercession

    • A practical challenge to let God refine your burden

    Scripture Mentioned:
Ezekiel 22:30 — “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap…”

The Dull and Boring Prayer Life

When prayer feels dry, lifeless, or like it’s hitting the ceiling.

Sometimes our prayer life just… loses its spark. We show up, say the words, and wonder if Heaven’s even listening. In this episode, Cassie sits with what she calls the dull and boring prayer life—the kind that deserves more than a passing glance. Because what’s really missing isn’t discipline or effort; it’s the holy fire of the Living God.

Cassie shares what happens when disappointment, comparison, and spiritual warfare dull our edge, and how to find our way —or our way back —to the fire again.

    Scripture Mentioned:

Hebrews 11:6 (MSG) — “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
(By faith Enoch pleased God… It’s impossible to please God apart from faith.)

What you’ll hear in this episode:

    • How disappointment and silence can quietly block faith

    • The sneaky ways comparison shifts us from communion to competition

    • How spiritual warfare numbs our hunger for God through distraction, fatigue, and accusation

    • What it looks like to repent, rest, and reignite your prayer life through the Holy Spirit

    • Why replenishment is warfare—and how aligning yourself with those on fire helps reignite your flame

    The Too Busy Prayer Life

We live in a world that glorifies hustle, but the truth is—God moves in the quiet.
In this episode, Cassie unpacks what happens when our prayer life gets buried under busyness. She speaks to the woman managing it all, motherhood, ministry, business, or work—and reminds her that stillness isn’t laziness, it’s obedience.

This conversation is an invitation to trade pressure for presence and performance for peace. Because the moment we stop striving and slow down long enough to listen, we remember who’s really running the show.

What you’ll hear in this episode:

    • Signs your prayer life has become more functional than intimate

    • How control and perfectionism sneak in and crowd out peace

    • The difference between being productive for God and being present with Him

    • Simple practices to reset your prayer rhythm and reconnect with His voice

    Her Prayer Life Series Kickoff

Prayer is more than words—it’s a mirror of intimacy with God. Prayer reveals where we’re connected, where we’re distant, and how we’re inviting Him into our lives.

In this kickoff to the Her Prayer Life mini-series, Cassie invites you to pause and take what she calls a “sacred audit” of your prayer life. Whether you’re in a season of feeling stuck, thriving, or unsure how to connect with God, prayer always tells a story. The question is: what story is yours telling right now?

What you’ll hear in this episode:

    • Why prayer matters in every season

    • How prayer both reveals and heals our intimacy with God

    • A glimpse into Cassie’s own evolving seasons of prayer

    • What to expect in the upcoming four episodes of this series

    Communion that Builds the Body

    Communion That Builds the Body

    Description (Show Notes):
When we abide in Christ, the fruit of our private communion naturally spills into public community. It’s not a result of doing more here, it’s becoming more because of time spent with the Father.

In this final episode of the Communion Over Community series, we’ll talk about what it looks like when communion overflows into community. From discernment to boldness to Spirit-born love, this is where our private devotion begins to transform the Body of Christ.

What you’ll hear in this episode:

    • Why abiding always produces fruit that blesses others.

    • How to recognize when your ministry flows from overflow versus burnout.

    • The ways communion fuels discernment, boldness, and love for the Body.

    • A challenge to stop making excuses and step fully into your calling.

    Scripture Mentioned:
John 15:5 — “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

How Do I Hold Both? Communion & Community

Stepping back into community after a season of wilderness or transition can feel like holding two worlds at once. On one hand, you want deep intimacy with the Father. On the other, you feel the pull to re-engage with people, ministry, and connection.

In this second episode of the Communion Over Community series, we’re talking about how to live in the tension of both—without losing the priority of communion. Because when intimacy comes first, community becomes richer, healthier, and Spirit-led.

What you’ll hear in this episode:

    • Why re-emerging from wilderness seasons requires a holy pause.

    • How to discern the balance between private devotion and public connection.

    • Practical ways to guard your intimacy with God while stepping into community.

    • The danger of confusing busyness with fruitfulness.

    When God Whispers Communion First

Before we step into community, leadership, or using our spiritual gifts, there’s a sweet and sacred invitation that comes first, and that is communion with the Father.

In this opening episode of the Communion Over Community conversation, I’m sharing the personal story behind this call, what it means (and doesn’t mean) to prioritize intimacy with God, and how it can completely change the way you live, lead, and love.

If you’ve been busy doing all the right things but your soul feels dry, this conversation will help you slow down, tune in to His voice, and rediscover the joy of simply being with Him.

What you’ll hear in this episode:

    • The moment the Holy Spirit whispered “Communion over community” into my heart.

    • What true communion is—and how it’s different from just “showing up” in church life.

    • How intimacy with God sharpens your spiritual gifts and aligns your calling.

    • Why returning to the secret place with the Father can refresh your faith.

    Scripture Mentioned:
2 Corinthians 13:14 NKJV – “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all”.

    Called and Cleaning House

You will enjoy this candid conversation about how God used divine intervention, spiritual disciplines, freedom of deliverance, a gift of faith, sincere repentance, and much more to clean off the residue of the world and make her into a disciple of Christ.

What if one of the disciples crossed your path?

What if Phoebe traveled through your town to give a strong message, Priscilla invited you into her home to give you a better understanding of the way of God, or Peter, Paul or Timothy spoke in your church or neighborhood?

What words do you think they would share?

    What would they teach?

    What actions would they take?

In this third episode, I drop TEN reflections (although I say 5 in the intro of the podcast, I managed to stretch it to 10 😉) and observations highlighting what New Testament disciples did or were.

Series 2 The Making of a Disciple Ep 2

On this episode of The Feisty Faith podcast, we're digging into this idea of moving from salvation and into carrying out the Great Commission.

Building on this concept of what is required to become (and to be) a disciple of Christ, I discuss five - what I'm calling AHA's - that stood out during my research.

    They are...

    1. A disciple goes beyond salvation
    2. Being a disciple is costly
    3. Being a disciple is a calling (invitation)
    4. A disciple is in direct conflict with the spirit of the world
    5. Communion with the Holy One is key to the process of becoming

💡 Although some of the AHA's mentioned were not new to me, revisiting them has been a good reminder as I learn how to become a better disciple and as I journey with others in their becoming.

Series 2 The Making of a Disciple Ep 1

Discipleship or becoming one was never on my radar.

If I can be honest, it wasn't until recent years I began to understand the Holy Spirit had been making me into a disciple.

I felt unworthy and honored at the same time.

During my research on this topic, there was a lot that saddened me and gave me hope.

In this first episode, I set the stage for the series by talking about:

    1. The idea that non-discipleship is the elephant in the church
    2. Definition of a disciple
    3. The Great Commission + why it’s so great
    4. Where some of my perspectives will be coming from.

I quoted Jon Thompson's book Converence, in this episode. Agree with him on all fronts or not it's a great read and I truly believe, from what I have researched, he is bringing value to the BOC. I hope you are challenged and encouraged by this series and I look forward to dropping the rest of the episodes over the NEXT THREE WEEKS! 🎉

Series 1 Ep. 4 Conversations with My Dad: Reflections of a Forty-Year Journey

In this fourth and final episode of this series, we take a candid tour around the topics we’ve discussed so far and find ourselves wandering through several rabbit trails. 😆 🙃

We found our main focus being - a deep dive into the generation of the Jesus Movement + their children, and those who stayed in church attendance and those who didn't.

My biggest questions, which took a bit for me to process..

    1) What happened to so many of us?

    2) Why did so many of us land in the world and what role has apathy and idols played in it?  Check out this final episode of this series and the main problem to those questions - DISCIPLESHIP + how it (or the lack of it) has impacted our faith journey.

In this one-hour conversation, we also touch on:

➡️ How the traditions of men have highjacked the ministry of the Holy Spirt in the American Church

➡️ Where do we go to be discipled?

➡️ If hunger and thirst are the beginning of getting discipled, why don’t some of us have that?

➡️ How we are at God’s mercy to flip the switch back on when we have walked away

➡️ When retirement takes place as a follower of Jesus

➡️ The role of ridding ourselves of things of the flesh and how inner healing, deliverance and self-deliverance can help in that

➡️ What makes up a false church?

➡️ God's call for communion over community and how can we have both?

➡️ Have we settled for a boring God?

    Key Bible verses:

    Mathew 5:6

    2 Timothy 2:20-21

    1 John 5:21

Series 1 Ep. 3 Conversations with My Dad: Reflections of a Forty-Year Journey

Welcome to episode 3 - It is by far the hardest conversation of them all and where we bring this story full circle from the start.

In this episode, my dad and I take you from the last conversation on apathy and direct us toward idols.

We talk about the idols within our own hearts (and flesh) and how we (as followers of Christ) are called to rid ourselves of such things.

Listen in as we drop tidbits on:

    • Sin in the camp and how God is calling this generation to get cleaned up so he can bring them in closer
    • Prophetic words that came to pass over the years.
    • How cancer and a miracle led my dad to brokenness
    • How I was able to gain my dad back through losing something significant to us all.
    • The Gideon Mantle and how God can call a son or daughter to change the trajectory of the family, nation and/or Body of Christ but who will step up to such an assignment?

    Key verses we cover:

    1 Samuel  15:23, Jeremiah 44:15, Colossians 3 verses 5 - 8, 2Timothy 2:20-21

In Episode 2 of this four-part series, and an honest attempt to find the Holy Fire in the American church family, my dad and I dive deep into the conversation of apathy, how it ever so slowly creeps into our lives as followers of Christ, and before we know it our zeal has not only been highjacked but it's been forfeited.

Without their yes to Jesus over forty years ago and all the many years of prayers, I wouldn't be here, nor would I have the boldness and zeal to put this journey before the world.

In this first episode within Series 1, I open the door to my father's journey and introduce you to him through a series of questions.

His honesty and humility are telling and I am truly honored to have a father willing to sit with me in such a place, and time, as this.
