In this episode, we are happy to welcome Emily, from @theloveofbreastfeeding to share her story with us. We talk about the importance of movement and diet during pregnancy, and empowering mothers to make informed decisions for their babies' health.
Emily's breastfeeding journey with her first child was difficult due to latch issues, low weight gain, and her daughter’s silent reflux and lip tie. Despite feeling dismissed and experiencing stress, Emily sought help from a lactation consultant and eventually became one herself, finding ways to support her daughter without a tongue tie release. Emily highlights how babies’ movement during breastfeeding affects latch and development, while also emphasizing the need for mothers to make informed health decisions. Staying active and prioritizing self-care during pregnancy is crucial for fetal development, and intuitive eating can positively influence childbirth.
