Modern day slavery, or human trafficking, is more prevalent than ever. With the current release of the film Sound of Freedom, and other initiatives there is big buzz around this issue. In fact, based on a report from the U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY in 2022 Human traffickers are in it for the money, with estimated annual global profits of $150 billion. They victimize an estimated 25 million people worldwide (now at around 40 million), with 80% in forced labor and 20% in sex trafficking.
So what is the root of this issue, why are there an estimated 6.3 million people trafficked for sex. What does this have to do with the state of manhood in today’s world?
Well we are going to be discussing this today with our guests, Don Brewster and Matt Robertson from aimfree.org. Let me tell you a little bit about them.
Don is the Founder of AIM, he and his wife Bridget lived in Cambodia for 15 years and has been fighting trafficking and speaking out about the link between porn and trafficking for 18 years.
Matt Robertson has been the Director of Relational Advancement for AIM for 5 ½ years and formerly a pastor and missionary for over 20 years.
