Dave and his daughter Mary have revived the Fansplainers banner for a new mini-series – they’re going to go through all the Mission: Impossible films in anticipation of the release of Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning on May 23.







This week they talk about Mission: Impossible III – that film that Mary suggest really started the franchise. It was released in 2006 – directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams – his first time directing and what a job he does!



Maggie Q and Jonathan Rhys Meyers make up the new team with Ving Rhames returning. Keri Russell pops in. Michelle Monaghan lights up the screen. Billy Crudup and Laurence Fishburne are great, and Philip Seymour Hoffman plays the scariest villain in franchise history.
