This Podcast is a personal project I have created for 'Everyday People' to have a chat about their personal experiences they have lived so far, all while teaching myself about the engineering of audio and visuals in terms of podcast production.
The aim for these stories and experiences is to help others, including myself, to grow, laugh and evolve into the best version of ourselves possible. Enjoy!

On this episode of the Everyday People Podcast, I talk to my friend Jennifer Cruz, a qualified Electrician in Melbourne.
Being the eldest of a large household with 7 siblings, she was ingrained with a hard work ethic, an inherent trait instilled by her parents who emigrated from South America to Australia for a better life. Heavily influenced by her Colombian culture, Jennifer is bilingual in both English and Spanish.
After completing a degree in Accounting and securing a job at a Taxation firm, Jennifer quickly realised that this wasn’t for her and decided to venture into a new career as an Electrician.
In the largest single trade occupation (electrician) in Australia, women make up just 1.3% of the total.
Jennifer speaks on the challenges she faced as a woman entering the trade industry and shares what resources helped her and potential others who are looking to make the same transition.
