The Epoch of Incredulity
Epoch of Incredulity

Here in the Boston Commune, we interpret the tumultuous churn of modernity through a Marxist lens. Episodes alternate between analyses of current events -- from the hyperlocal to the international -- and narrations of theoretical texts by communists and anti-imperialists the world over. This project was birthed in a mental health working group during the pandemic and continues in true DIY fashion, without any advertisements or monetization (save for a few generous patrons). Hard to believe, we know; for it is, after all, the Epoch of Incredulity. #Marx #Lenin #Mao #Socialism #Communism

Episode 127: Part One - Suddenly Not Having a Good Time

Hello comrades! Chava, Joe, and I recorded this on 1/16/24, and, perhaps given the abundance of bullshit in the first few weeks of the new year, I've had to trim about an hour from it and split it up into two parts.

In part one, we uncover the neoliberal rot undergirding the recent Boeing 737 Max 9 incident and discuss the deepening quagmire in West Asia, including: The success of the Red Sea blockade in stymying western war profiteering; the pentagon-brained bombing campaign, in response, against Ansar Allah; the Mossad-backed oil pirates that were vaporized in Kurdistan (Northern Iraq); and the tragedy unfolding among settlers in the Israeli occupied territory.

Part two will be released whenever I'm done editing.
