On today’s episode we chat to Travis Johnstone; 8x national champ, ex-pro triathlete, and of course the founder of the Cape Town based Maverick Athletics Club. Travis tells us what it was like racing in the peak Brownlee era, how intimidating it was to not have the best swim in the field. He tells us what drove him to start Maverick AC, and how he tries to impart knowledge on his athletes. He also tells us about his crazy stint of doing an indoor/virtual Tour de France for the Qhubeka foundation that puts kids on bikes to help with their education.
