We also delve into his work on Covid and his newest book project. Steven Thrasher is the inaugural Daniel H. Renberg Chair of social justice in reporting (with an emphasis on issues relevant to the LGBTQ community) and an assistant professor of journalism at the Northwestern Medill School of Journalism. He is also author of The Viral Underclass: The Human Toll When Inequality and Disease Collide and the forthcoming book The Overseer Class: Representation as Repression.
