Shipping can be frustrating and expensive if you haven't spent years researching and experimenting with it. Our host, Jason Archambault has been in the Small Parcel Shipping Industry for over 17 years. In 1999 he Founded Fastpack Packaging, an Internet based Shipping Supply Company, supplying small business across the United States with the Shipping Supplies they need to safely ship their products.

Fastpack Utilizes FedEx, UPS, USPS, Regional Couriers and many LTL Freight lines to get these supplies from their Florida warehouse to customers in all 50 United States, Canada and beyond. The Parcel Shipping Industry is constantly changing, and if you do not keep up on the changes, it may cost you time, money and customers. This podcast was created to help keep you aware of the constant changes in the parcel shipping industry.

What should you expect from this podcast?
-Announced Rate Increases from FedEx, UPS & USPS
-Inclement Weather which will cause delays, causing your packages to arrive late
-Money saving Shipping tips that we have learned over the years

USPS Proposed Price Changes Would Start on January 26, 2020
According to the USPS, The proposed prices, approved by the Governors of the Postal Service, would raise Mailing Services product prices approximately 1.9 percent. Shipping Services price increases vary by product. For example, Priority Mail Express would increase 3.5 percent and Priority Mail would increase 4.1 percent, on average. Although Mailing Services price increases are based on the Consumer Price Index, Shipping Services prices are primarily adjusted according to market conditions.

If favorably reviewed by the PRC, the new prices will include no increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp, which would remain at 55 cents. The single-piece letter additional ounce price would remain at 15 cents. Also unchanged would be the prices of postcard stamps at 35 cents, and 1-ounce flats at $1.

Letters (1oz) Would remain unchanged at $0.55
Letters, Additional ounces would also remain unchanged at $0.15
Letters, metered 1oz, also remaining unchanged at $0.50

Priority Mail:
Small Flat Rate Box - Currently $7.90 would rise to $8.30
Medium Flat Rate Box - Currently $14.35 would rise to $15.05
Large Flat Rate Box - Currently $19.95 would rise to $21.10
Legal Flat-Rate Envelope - Currently $7.65 would rise to $8.05
Padded Flat-Rate Envelope - Currently $8.00 would rise to $8.40
