Late Heartbreak In Sunderland & Deadline Day Business đź’Ľ
On this week’s episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on last minute defeat at Sunderland on Saturday.
Brentford fell to defeat in the North East despite a reasonably positive performance. Igor Thiago’s second half opener looked like it had made amends for Kevin Schade’s penalty miss, but Enzo Le Fee brought things level from the spot before Sunderland snatched all three points late on.
Off the back of that result, and following the departure of Yoane Wissa to Newcastle on deadline day, we thought we might be in line for a bit of business before the window shut on Monday night. Reiss Nelson arrived on loan from Arsenal, but that was Brentford’s only incoming before the window closure.
We reflect on the defeat, chat about Brentford’s summer business, and analyse how the squad is looking as we go into the first international break.
