Decompressing Your New Dog - Episode 29

When you welcome a new dog into your home, whether it be a puppy or an older rescue dog, that dog needs time to decompress.  We are all excited for this new family member, but throwing them in the mix too quickly can lead to annoying behavior and a stressed out dog. Giving your new dog time to learn the ropes and become comfortable with your family will lead to a happier life together and less issues between your children and the dog.

During the episode I mentioned tips for dogs who fear family members or guests.  You can find those tips by clicking here

ISCDT may have a trainer working in your area.  If you are looking for a professional, certified trainer email us at info@iscdt.com.

Are you looking to start a career in dog training?  Our interactive, online course will provide an education and have you working hands-on with dogs.  Dog training is not a spectator sport.  If you want to truly learn how to train dogs, you must work hundreds of hours with different breeds, personalities and age.  Visit ISCDT to learn about our online and in-person programs.
