After University, Sultan was struggling to find a graduate scheme due to a lack of work experience. He had bills to pay and had to find a job to make ends meet. Working jobs he had no passion for, he sought a way out. Then Merky came into the picture. His brother told him about this amazing initiative getting young black talent into the sports Industry! Growing up, Sultan didn’t have access to channels like Disney, so he spent his time watching football and free sports programmes like TES Match Cricket. Sultan translated his passion for sports into his application to the Merky programme, and it was clear to all of us at DIVERSE that he was perfect for #Merky FC! Now he works in Production at Sky Sports.
