#2 - Putting DC On The Map (Dischord 1-7)

Washington, DC: Seat of power, swamp to be drained, and a city that — in the late 1970s — was not pegged to be the next big scene of anything. This episode delves deep into the bands and sounds that were swirling about in the nation’s capital in the late 1970s. We’ll talk about how those bands, as well as British Oi, California hardcore, and an apocryphal concert by The Cramps in 1979 changed the lives of countless kids, many of whom would go to form bands like Teen Idles, SOA, Void, Minor Threat and many more.
