I interviewed abortion advocate and badass sex educator Irma on the sex education laws in Texas, and the effect that these laws have on young people from a first hand perspective.
Irma is a certified sex educator promoting pleasure in the Deep South. She runs the platform "Dirty South Sex Ed" which you can find her on Instagram at @sexedwithirma.
Texas has not revised their sex education curriculum since 1994. The state also does not require sex education, nor does it require HIV/AIDS education. They receive the largest amount of abstinence only funding in the country.
