Digitally Sick is a digital health thought leadership podcast. Why: Collectively, we felt that the European health conversation lacked a space within which an informal, incisive and occasionally irreverent commentary on the issues of the moment could take place. Digitally Sick is our response to this perceived need. What: The podcast’s emphasis is primarily on focused on the sharing of the opinions of ourselves and our many guest speakers as to the Pharmaceutical industry’s digital activities – what the industry is doing, what it isn’t doing, and what it could or should be doing. Podcast is with Faisal Ahmed @cleverpeeps and Alex Butler @alex__butler

Virtual Reality: Taking Congress & Conferences Online In a Time of Crisis
Today Alex and Faisal are joined in the pod by Paul Simms, Chairman at eyeforpharma, to discuss how we can keep the world connected in a time of crisis and isolation. Before the global pandemic there was already concern that the culture of mass travel to world congress and meetings was unsustainable on many levels. It was also discussed that in a world of global collaboration and continual and open publication of scientific advances it could struggle for relevance. However the networking and connectivity that comes from people coming together to share ideas is crucial in medicine, healthcare and pharma. Paul has recently had to contend with taking two large pharmaceutical conferences online at short notice. We find out what he has learnt and possibly what pharma could learn from this experience.
