The Digital Edge (26): Frederik Östbye er outsideren der driver den digitale innovation hos Grundfos

I 2017 blev svenske Frederik Östbye hentet ind som outsideren, der skulle hjælpe Grundfos med at eksekvere på den digitale transformation.

I dag er han group vice president og chef for FutureLab, Grundfos´s interne inkubator for ny digital forretning.

Med omkring 40 ansatte er FutureLab og Frederik Östbyes opgave at bære de levedygtige ideer videre - enten som en del af Grundfos´s eksisterende forretning eller som selvstændige enheder.

Det er en stor opgave. For de fleste store firmaer kæmper med at integrere nye opfindelser i deres store maskine. Og ifølge Frederik Östbye fejler op imod 95 procent af de fleste virksomheders egne garager og innovationsenheder.

Men hvad gør man så hvis ens strategiske opgave er, at lancere den digitale udgave af de innovative industri game changers, som Grundfos har stået bag flere gang i firmaets mangeårige historie?
