#182: Inside NYU Dermatology with Program Director Dr. Alexandra Flamm, MD

In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Alexandra Flamm, MD, Associate Professor in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Program Director of the NYU Dermatology Residency. She is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist with expertise in eczema, contact dermatitis, and patch testing. Before joining NYU, Dr. Flamm completed her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate and a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She now leads the NYU Dermatology Residency, an academically robust training program located in the heart of New York City.

Dr. Flamm shares her journey through dermatology, what makes the NYU Dermatology Residency a special place to train, and her advice for medical students navigating their own paths into the field. We hope you enjoy!
