Denise Maxwell, founder and lead photographer of Lensi Photography, never intended to be a professional photographer or start a photography business. But she had a lifelong passion for capturing moments on film. Ever since her school days, Denise was the friend with a camera. In her late 30s and faced with being made redundant from the NHS, losing a role that she thought she'd be in for life, Denise decided to try turning her passion into a job. Photographing family and friends, to friends of friends, Denise built a wide ranging portfolio of imagery from the world around her. With hard work, determination and by establishing a solid network of colleagues, Lensi Photography was born. Listen to a fascinating story of how someone can carve out a creative role for themselves, even after changing careers in their late 30s.
