On this episode, Derek sits with Joe Dittmar. As the day of this release marks the 23rd Anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 Attacks, I have been sitting on Joe’s interview for 9 months as quite frankly, his story is so incredible, it felt only appropriate to release it on 9/11. Joe agreed to come on the show as part of the “Derek Duvall Show 9/11 Outreach Project” as he was on the 102nd Floor of the South Tower when the North Tower was struck and is one of the few living people to have seen the carnage of the North Tower up close including the wrecked fuselage of Flight 11. I also consider him to be the luckiest survivor of all of the 9/11 Survivors I have interviewed as as you will hear, he was 3 floors below United 175 striking the South Tower, having made a crucial choice that ended up saving his life. Joe’s story is gripping and heart wrenching and not for the faint of heart so listener discretion is advised.
