In this Almost Daily Podcast episode I talk about our love affair with citing science and why story still moves us to take action. Science matters for performance and it absolutely has a place in mental and emotional health, but most of us are not building a lab grade life. We are trying to live an active life we enjoy. So I challenge you to build your fitness around what you like, build your eating plan around your preferences, and let consistency carry you.
I also share why expert driven hot takes can contradict each other and why endless scrolling or debate can distract you from living your own story. If you truly love research, explore it, but be honest about whether you are using it to avoid action. Most of us think we are logical, yet we are emotional first. Choose the practices that fit your inside/out approach, spend more time in your real life, and tell a story you are proud of. I would love to hear your thoughts.
