#396: Coming in from Toronto, Canada: The Reed Effect!

Coming in once again from Toronto, Canada: The Reed Effect bends, beguiles, and rocks with "Trampled Under" - their next full-force single/video from their album 1973.

With Lead Vocalist/Guitarist Kirk Reed continuing to honor the memory of his late brother, Chris Reed (bass/backing vocals), The Reed Effect has carried forward their mission to feed the hungry ears of the music masses worldwide. "Trampled Under" is the foundational track upon which their album 1973 that has been solidly built.

WATCH -- PREVIOUS RELEASES FROM THEIR ALBUM 1973 - "Rise Up" and "Fine Here"

"Trampled Under" is arguably the strongest track from this album. It definitely stands out as it's the darkest and most emotional. All the other tracks are rockers. Also, the song was all developed around Chris's unique bass line. I remember Chris, Bryan Fontez, and I spent the better part of a day just working out the main riff until we were happy with it. We feel it reached its highest potential."' - Kirk Reed

2020 was a hard year for all of us and The Reed Effect has definitely felt that pain. Chris Reed, bassist, vocalist, bandmate, friend, and brother tragically took his own life on October 10th, 2020, just as the new music was about to be released. Being very close, Chris's death hit Kirk hard. But Kirk feels it is important to let the world hear this music - not just as a tribute to Chris and his legacy, but as a celebration of their collaboration and brotherly love.
