Now that the World Series is over, we officially put an end to the 2025 MLB Season. We turn our attention to the Milwaukee Brewers off-season by talking about emerging storylines and the front office decisions that were made on Tuesday.
On this special edition of The Daily Brew, we break down the storylines of the 2025 Fall Classic. The series is tied at 2-2 as Shohei Ohtani continues to amaze and Vlad Jr. lives up to his name. As much as we wish it was the Brewers still playing, this series has delivered several historic moments already.
Shohei Ohtani puts together the greatest individual performance in MLB history to sweep the Brewers. This series was an embarrassment and such a frustrating way to end what was a special season. The Crew never stood a chance. (Dodgers win best of 7 series 4-0)
Jacob Misiorowski pitched his rear end off the give the Brewers a chance. The offense continues to let the pitching staff down as the Brewers season is hanging on by a thread. (Dodgers lead best of 7 series 3-0)
Jackson Chourio lead off the first with a homer and that was about all there was to cheer for Tuesday night. Yoshi Yamamoto one ups Blake Snell’s historic performance with a complete game. The Brewers have their backs up against the wall, will they respond and bounce back? (Dodgers lead best of 7 series 2-0)
Blake Snell stymies Brewers hitters through 8 stellar innings. The Brewers fight back and score a run and load the bases in the 9th. They ultimately fall one crucial run short. They allowed 8 walks and and could not get the big hit they needed it in the end. The key for this team is to have a short memory and focus on tying the series up in front of their home fans tomorrow night. (Dodgers lead best of 7 series 1-0)
We use the off day to preview the NLCS as it is a rematch of the 2018 version that had the Brewers miss the World Series by a single game. The Crew went 6-0 versus LA in the regular season, but October baseball is different. It is a true David vs. Goliath matchup, and we all know this team will be up to challenge!
The Milwaukee Brewers get the job done and they are advancing to the NLCS! Trevor Megill set the tone, Misiorowski stepped up, and the Brewers find the long ball when it mattered the most!! What an incredible night! The Crew sends the Cubs and Craig Counsell packing!! The focus shifts to hosting the Dodgers on Monday! (Brewers win best of 5 series 3-2)
The starting pitchers are named, the lineups are set, and it is almost time for first pitch. We talk about it all on this special edition of The Daily Brew!
IFYKYK. On this special episode, I use one of my favorite tv shows to do illustrate what lies ahead in Game 5 and how the Brewers can get their minds right. I also had to find a way to get all this nervous energy out! Hopefully, it helps get everyone in a good headspace!
The Brewers look lifeless in Chicago. They have squandered away a 2-0 series lead and now it all comes down to game 5 Saturday in Milwaukee. Pat Murphy and the team have gotten away from everything that has made this year special. Can they bounce back and find that magic in Game 5? (Best of 5 series tied 2-2)
The first inning continues to be a problem as the Cubs score all 4 of their runs in the opening frame. The bullpen did its job picking up Quinn Priester after he only lasted 2/3 of an inning. Jake Bauers had a big game, but missed opportunities haunted the Crew as they fall 1 short. They will try to close out the series tomorrow. (Brewers lead best of 5 series 2-1)
Pay Murphy’s decision to use an opener looked like it was going to backfire, but the Brewers answer right back again. Andrew Vaughn answers Seiya Suzuki’s 3-run homer with one of his own to tie the game after 1. Wild Bill delivers an electric homer to break the tie and Playoff Jackson rips a 3-run bomb to put the game out of reach! The bullpen retired the final 15 Cubs batters to close out the game! (Brewers lead best of 5 series 2-0)
The Brewers get back to playing the type of baseball that made this season so special! The fell behind early and bounced right back with a 6-run first inning! Freddy struck out 9 in the win and Chourio was 3-3 by the 2nd inning. Brewers fans have their fingers crossed that his injury was precautionary and not severe as they set the tone in Game 1! (Brewers lead best of 5 series 1-0)
The time for October baseball has made it back to Milwaukee! As fate would have it, the Crew will host the rival Cubs in what is set to be an intense series. We get hyped up for the big series on the eve of the NLDS!
October baseball is here and we get caught up on the Wild Card round as the Brewers await the winner of the Cubs/Padres series.
The Brewers come from behind to win their regular season finale setting a franchise record for wins in the process! (97-65)
The Reds take down the Brewers keeping their postseason hopes alive. The Crew does clinch the number 1 seed for the postseason as the Phillies lost as well. (96-65)
The Brewers offense struggles to get anything going as they fall short of clinching the 1 seed yet again. We turn our focus to how the Brewers need to shift their focus to get back on track ahead of the postseason. (96-64)
The Brewers avoid the sweep and get a much needed win. They finish with best road record in baseball for the 2025 season! (96-63)
