Today, I welcome my mom, Maria, to the show. In part 1 of this episode, she discusses her rough childhood and what it was like living with her stepfather. She also discusses what it was like when she got pregnant for the first time at the age of 14. By age 17, she had 3 kids and was raising them all on her own after the kids' father left and starting creating problems. She discusses where she found the strength to keep going and the moment she met someone who was willing to accept her and her children.
