Fresh out of Prison since 1981 trying to adapt to Modern Technological life.
This is was a special connection I had with this man who was gangbanging since he was 16 committed a murder and was in jail for over 30 years. It’s only been a couple weeks since he got out of prison and he didn’t know how to use an Uber. He knows nothing of modern technology. He’s completely institutionalized and has difficulty using the phone. Just like that scene from Shawshank redemption. He has turned another leaf and he’s trying to do better with his life. Being a criminal is all he knows and it’s a part of his entire identity. But this episode is proof that change is possible.
