The Crew Voice Feat. Lisa Roland & Bridges Over Water

The Crew Voice podcast is back ! And for this exciting year of 2023 we are starting our first edition with Lisa Roland who will soon engage in an incredible rowing journey across the Atlantic while supporting young people ashore through the strength of her arms, quite literally !

Lisa is a yacht captain and if you’ve listened to one of our podcasts before, you will know that yachting and sailing enabled her to completely turn her life around. It is exactly her background and her career that have made her passionate about at-risk youth and pushed her to inspire the younger generations.

She is now developing the Bridges Over Water program, with the aim of providing those who have aged out of foster care programs in North America with meaningful career opportunities within the maritime sector. We are proud to say that TCA will be supporting the project.

And finally, not only is she building this amazing program, but part of it will be funded with her race on the Talisker Rowing Challenge.

Listen to this podcast an find out more about her future ambitions for BOW, her tips on how to keep your mental health stable and how to train for such a challenge as well as how she believes the yachting industry can support young people at risk.
