Episode Three : How Having a Sustainability Program Can Impact Your Overall Brand.
Over the past two decades, the word sustainability has become a hot topic of discussion. More and more businesses, including the craft beer industry, have begun taking new approaches in developing methods to increase their efficiency, while taking on an ecological responsibility.
Having a sustainability program is more than just a fad or buzz word to grab your attention and make you feel good. When a sustainability program becomes part of your organizations brand essence, it has the ability to improve your brand image, all while creating a competitive edge. This happens because today’s customers are more aware of environmental concerns and they are more apt to buy from an organization that is known for practicing sustainability.
During episode three of The Craft Lyfe, we get to chat it up with the Head of Operations at Saltwater Brewery, Justin Jeffers. We get to learn all about his brewing journey and all of his duties at Saltwater Brewery. From there we get into the nitty gritty of Saltwater’s sustainability program, as well as their efforts in helping to maintain the oceans health and all of the lifeforms that it supports.
What you’ll take away form this episode is:
✮ The benefit of starting a sustainability program.
✮ Why Saltwater’s goal exceeds just crafting great beer.
✮ What sparked the creation of the Eco Six Pack Rings.
✮ How their sustainability program has helped the distribution of their beers.
