Join me in leading this revolution of courage to inspire, empower and challenge you to take your power back and change your life. I will be discussing my journey and where I have used courage to change my life but also interviews with seemingly ordinary people who chose courage and are now doing extraordinary things in their life. Courage calls us in our fear. It calls us to each act of bravery and perseverance that our duties require. And it calls us beyond ourselves to a greater common good. It's our decision to answer the call. The question is are you ready?

Episode 45: Driving out of darkness

This week Jacques and I discussed how trauma can have a profound impact on an individual's life, changing their perspective and challenging their mental and emotional well-being. He highlights how men, like anyone else, can experience trauma and struggle with mental health issues. We discuss the importance of creating spaces and resources specifically tailored to support men's mental health. Jacques shared how practicing gratitude and positive thinking helped him cope with trauma and move forward in his healing journey. We both shared personal stories and experiences to inspire and support others who may be going through similar challenges. He reminds us of the importance of transitioning out of old patterns and beliefs is a challenging but necessary step in personal growth. We talk about being able to control your mind and letting go of worry are essential for mental well-being. Some of the daily habits that helped him were journaling, releasing fears, and embracing rituals.

Jacques Delorme is a science educator, public speaker, life coach and author of Driving Out of Darkness: Self-care Strategies for Trauma Recovery. He has dedicated the past 11 years of his life to personal development including multiple training courses. He has a deep interest in public speaking and supporting men’s mental health programs using the concepts taught in his book. Anyone recovering from trauma or dealing with mental health issues will find his message invaluable.
