Dawn Mai Padmore is a Liberian classical singer and recitalist.
Padmore has appeared in a variety of concerts featuring African music, including a performance in New York's 2006 "African Music Symposium". She was invited to sing at the inauguration of the Republic of Liberia’s President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the first female African president. She has also performed for Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Bishop Desmond Tutu in Minneapolis as part of the annual National Youth Leadership Council’s conference.
Dawn will be joining me this episode to discuss the roots and authenticity of Liberian music.
