John Wayne Gacy Recap: Episodes 3 and 4. We are back in the crawlspace for episodes three and four, and honestly, it just keeps getting darker. In episode three, we go into Gacy’s double life and how he managed to be Mr. Friendly Clown on the outside while hiding a nightmare underneath. By episode four, we are in full trial mode with his lawyers trying the insanity defense, experts arguing over his mental state, and a jury forced to sit through details that would scar anyone for life. We break it all down with our usual mix of shock, sarcasm, and “how the hell did he get away with this for so long.”
