One of the sad truths about the workforce is that only 2 out of 15 people look forward to work (Gallup engagement research). Another way of looking at it is that the majority of the workforce is living with a TGIF mindset (Thank God It's Friday) - where life really starts on Friday evening and ends come Monday morning. I want to change that statistic so we can live in a world where more people live with a TGIM mindset (Thank God it's Monday). I'm on a mission to speak to people who love what they do and find out more about their journey.

Becoming a Shoe Maker - Josh Leong (Josh Leong Shoes) | The CJH Podcast EP15

WATCH NOW ON YOUTUBE!

His love for leather and its intricacies drove him to Florence, Italy where he learnt the art of shoemaking from masters. Today, his brands - Josh Leong, Heirloom and Palola are favoured by discerning buyers who enjoy Made-To-Order and Bespoke leather shoes. Each piece made completely by hand, lasted by hand, hand-welted, with hand-stitched outsoles, his Made-To-Order shoes start at S$2,200 and Bespoke shoes at S$4,900.

Take a walk in the steps of Josh as he opens up what it means to be a craftsman in Singapore when the culture calls for instant gratification at the lowest cost.

What's this podcast about?

I am on a mission to speak with people who love what they do. The ones who look forward to work because they have found a way to leverage their innate passions for the job.

In a world where only 2 out of 15 people look forward to work and the majority of the workforce lives with a TGIF (Thank God It's Friday) mindset - these are the Thank God It’s Monday people!

I hope this podcast will inspire people to try to find the fire within themselves and be happier in the journey and outcome.
