On this episode, I have the privilege of chopping it up with NBA Champion, and 13 year NBA veteran Mike James. (@who_mikejames13)
Mike talks about being from Long Island, and what it was like growing up battling some of the world's top guards in New York City. From Rafer "Skip to my lou" Alston, and Jamaal Tinsley, to Cam'ron and Mase, Mike discusses the grit you needed to have in order to survive when lacing them up in the big apple.
Mike speaks about coming out of Duquesne University not working out for NBA teams, going undrafted, playing overseas and the mind set he had that eventually led him to an opportunity to compete for a roster spot with the Miami Heat.
Mike also dives into that infamous January night in 2006, where Kobe Bryant scored 81 points on Mike's Toronto Raptors. Mike describes the energy and electricity in the arena that night, and how he was personally angry at himself for not coming out of halftime with the same mindset he started the game with.
Finally, Mike recounts that 2004 NBA Championship season with the Detroit Pistons, and how they knew they were a team of destiny. Mike's Pistons went on to make quick work of the Kobe, Shaq, Karl Malone, and Gary Payton Lakers, beating them 4-1, ending one of the most iconic Dynasties in NBA history.
During his 13 year NBA career Mike James earned the reputation of being a tenacious competitor, an absolute pitbull on the court, and an NBA Champion. Off the court, Mike is a man of family, faith, philanthropy, and business - being a part of a USDA certified organic hemp farm @3blouisiana

On this episode, I have the privilege of chopping it up with my guy, music artist, and 17 year NBA vet, CJ Miles. (@Masfresco)
CJ talks about his introduction to hoops, growing up in Dallas Texas, and attending the same high school that former NCAA champion, and 2X NBA All-star Larry Johnson went to - Skyline High School.
CJ speaks about the thought process that went into him leaving high school and forgoing his college eligibility to jump into the NBA, and become the youngest player at 18, ever drafted by the Utah Jazz, 34th overall in 2005.
CJ also discusses his experiences battling the gauntlet that was the NBA Western Conference through the playoffs, matching up with the likes of Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Tracy McGrady, and Manu Ginobili.
Finally, CJ opens up about his time playing with the Raptors, the run they made, and the love that he felt from the fans up North in Toronto.
During his playing career, CJ was known for being a gritty, skilled, sharpshooter. As a music artist, Masfresco is known for being a longtime hip-hop fan, historian and emcee with a very mellow style.
