S03 EP5: Interview with Dr. Amélie Fradet-Turcotte
Dr. Amélie Fradet-Turcotte is a Professor at Université Laval and a researcher at the CHU de Québec–Université Laval Research Centre. Her research explores how our cells maintain the integrity of their genome, especially in the context of viral infections like HPV. Using a powerful mix of biochemistry and molecular biology, her lab uncovers how viruses hijack our DNA repair machinery. Tune in if you’re curious about how viruses interact with this machinery, what happens when repair mechanisms fail, and how this all connects to cancer research. In our conversation, Dr. Fradet-Turcotte also shares a powerful message: you must try something to know whether you’ll like it or not. If you don’t try, you’ll never know!
