In this episode, Michelle has a chat with Ruth, a gut specialist, from Inner Health Clinic based in Stockport.
This week the tables are turned, as Ruth is asking the questions. We learn more about our fabulous host, Michelle, and how CBD has helped her gut health alongside support from Ruth.
IBD is a general term that refers to chronic inflammation of the bowel, but the two main IBD conditions are Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Other conditions include irritable bowel syndrome, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
The exact cause of IBD is unknown, and many patients report that their symptoms include nausea, poor appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, and bloating. Proper diet, regular exercise, and stress management support the endocannabinoid system, and in cases of IBS, patients find these additional interventions to be quite effective when combined with CBD therapy.
