Krista Vaught is a Career Breaker.
After graduating from law school, Krista made the bold decision to not practice law, setting her on a completely different path. Guided by curiosity and a desire to connect people with the resources they need to thrive, she built a career spanning higher education, leadership development, and employee experience.
Today, she’s a Principal Advisor at Frontier Design, helping organizations reimagine how people learn, lead, and experience work. In this episode, Krista shares how following sparks of curiosity, taking small experimental steps, and looking forward instead of back have shaped her journey. She reflects on letting go of sunk costs and how a single “Design Your Life” exercise ended up predicting the very paths she later took.
Krista offers thoughtful insights for anyone navigating uncertainty or considering a pivot, and reminds us that growth doesn’t always mean climbing up.
Listen now to hear Krista’s story and follow for more conversations with bold Career Breakers like her.
