In 1990, Chris opened The Hempstead Company, one of the first hemp companies in the US. In 1992, Chris Co-Founded the Hemp Industries Association (HIA) as the first industry collective and trade association to grow and standardise the industry... In 1994, he made hemp history as the first modern person to legally grow industrial hemp at the USDA Research Station in Brawley, California.
