On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice discusses Prime Minister Mark Carney’s announcement that he will drop all retaliatory tariffs against the Americans. In other worlds, Elbows Down!
Candice brings receipts and shows the many times that Carney said the exact opposite – during the Liberal leadership race and repeatedly throughout the election campaign.
But here’s the thing about “Elbows Up” – it was always a lie. It was created as a partisan Liberal campaign slogan to revive their dying party.
The government media pretended “Elbows Up” was a universal Canadian grassroots movement of patriotism and unity – but it wasn’t. It was always partisan. And it was always a lie.
The reality is that Carney’s plan all along was to cave. Juno News reported this back in March – that Eurasia Group President Ian Bremmer told insiders that Carney would “quietly cave” to the Americans after the campaign.
And that’s exactly what happened.
Later in the episode, Candice is joined by National Telegraph’s Wyatt Claypool and they discuss how the Liberals have already broken their promises on immigration, and a new poll showing Poilievre back on top.
