Prof Ngambi was one the pioneers of the Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute in South Africa. She has appeared in various print, radio and TV media including top cover of African Decisions and CEO Magazines. She was the consecutive winner of the CEO African’s most influential women of the year in government and Business 2016 & 2017 awards, hosted in Lusaka, and the 2017 Continental Life time achiever Award, Hosted in Johannesburg. She won the 2016 Zambia Public Service Excellence John Mwanakatwe Distinguished Award- ZSPA. Her research interest has been in the fields of leadership and organizational effectiveness; corporate governance; workforce diversity, equity & inclusion; flexibility in the workplace; and RARE Leadership. She has authored and edited and published several articles in journals and book chapters and books. Her sole authored book: RARE Total Leadership: Leading with the Head, Heart and Hands was published in 2011. Professor Ngambi is a sought-after speaker and presenter. She has made numerous local and international presentations. She has served and still serves on a variety of committees, councils and boards in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and the USA. These include; Vice Chairperson of the Bank of Zambia, Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission and National Technology and Business Centre (NTBC). She has also been the vice chairperson of UbuntNet alliance board, Chairperson of Zambia Research and Education Networks (ZAMREN), and Zambia Association of Public Universities and Colleges (ZAPUC) which she founded. She has pioneered and successfully implemented many projects in the countries where she has worked including, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa and United States of America. She facilitated the hosting of the first central province expo at Mulungushi University, the first University in Zambia to host such a huge event. She has provided consultancy services in various countries to organisations, governments and NGOs.
