Here in the Calm Café, we're all about tranquility and relaxation, (along with maybe a soothing Chai Latté, or a hot cup of Lapsang Souchong).
Step in, take off your coat and melt into your favourite armchair. Here, you have nothing to do and nowhere to be. So, allow yourself to sink further into your chair and prepare to drift away.

Tonight we’re being treated to an excerpt of a favourite classic story; The Time Machine by HG Wells. Ah, the Time Traveller, The Eloi and all the tales that goes with it.
Over the course of a few episodes, my aim is to read the whole book. Partly as it was my bedtime reading for a while as a child and partly because I’d love to read it again and reading it for The Calm Café mean I can get away with it be for ‘research purposes’. Not that we should ever need an excuse to read. I find a book can transport me far away in a matter of moments. Which is lucky as we have 800,000 years to travel tonight.
