Ashley’s passion for wellness began early, as she watched her parents manage type 2 diabetes through lifestyle changes. Originally from Miami, she saw firsthand how environment impacts access to health and wellness. Over the past nine years, Ashley has worked as a Nutrition Educator, first as a peer health educator in college and now serving families in lower-income populations. A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, she holds a B.S. in Dietetics with a minor in Religion from Florida State University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Dietetics with a concentration in Health Informatics. Her holistic approach integrates mental, physical, and nutritional health, honoring the ways culture, family, and beliefs influence how we eat. Jasmine works as a Registered Dietitian at a Diabetes Outpatient Facility and takes a realistic, compassionate approach to improving nutrition and quality of life. Her passion for preventive nutrition grew from witnessing how diet-related illnesses affected her own family. She holds a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and an M.S. in Clinical Nutrition from Rosalind Franklin University. Having served as a Nutrition Educator for the Florida Department of Health for three years, Jasmine saw a critical need for culturally relevant nutrition education within minority communities, an insight that helped inspire EatWell Exchange.
