The first, and possibly last, time that Bri, Jim and Will (he's from America, don't you know) will ever get together in the same room. To talk about what might have been...

We've been away for a while but we're back, baby. And with a bang. Join Brian, Will, and Jim in conversation with the one and only Albert Bouchard. There's at least one major exclusive so you won't want to miss it.
In this latest episode of the pod we chat about Will’s playlist, which looks at BÖC’s complex relationship with - and within - modern literature. Fancy, yes?

In this latest episode of the pod Bri, Jim, and Will chat about Jim’s ‘’A to Z’ playlist, featuring Albert’s work, and in particular the three chapters of the ReImaginos concept, as well as his solo records, Blue Coupe, and the Dictators.
Jim asked members of the Morning Final group what they were listening to, other than BÖC. Bri, Jim, and Will chatted about some of their choices. Will kept Bri from assaulting Jim with a rubber fish.

We've finessed the episode a bit to make it less hissy. Bri and Jim talk about the singles. It goes as well as you would expect.
Brian chats with Dave Dawson, the man behind the Dear Mr Popstar series of books, the new edition of which has a letter to, and reply from, Albert Bouchard. Dave has also selected his 6 fave BÖC tunes, which we link to below.

In this, the first episode of Season 2 of The Bungo Pony Podcast, we chat about Jim’s ‘Alpha & Omega’ playlist, which juxtaposes some of the tunes from Blue Öyster Cult’s latest album ‘The Symbol Remains’ with their 1972 debut. We both wish we had more fulsome moustaches, and in our exploration of Jim's desire to send Brian to Switzerland it appears this might not necessarily be for leisure purposes. We end up as friends, of course. Notwithstanding the Swiss thing.
In this episode we are joined by musician, friend of the pod, and all-round nice chap Will McBride, as we discuss Jim’s mash-up playlist for Club Ninja and Imaginos. We argue that the two albums have more in common than you might otherwise think, keep bickering to a minimum, and whilst we have other Pod Plans for Imaginos - as befits its status - we hope you enjoy your visit to Club Imaginos. Women get in free. Two drink minimum.

In this bonus episode Brian chats all things Blue Öyster Cult with musician and author Jacob-Holm Lupo, founder of the Norwegian progressive rock band White Willow, who wrote the Sonicbond book ‘Blue Öyster Cult: every album, every song’. He shares his favourite (today at least) BÖC tracks, as well as a couple of White Willow tunes he's particularly proud of.

In this episode we take an idea from one of Jim's friends and curate a playlist based around those essential themes of motorcycles, death, and drugs insofar as they appear in Blue Oyster Cult songs. Edited to make Brian's microphone sound ever so slightly better on the couple of occasions it gave up in the heat, and to prevent us being sued by the Catholic Church, Conservatives, Bee Keepers, and Wigan.

Join Brian and Jim as they chat about Joe Bouchard's solo work, ahead of their imminent interview with him. There's nothing from Joe's new album, 'American Rocker', though, as we're going to chat extensively with him about that next time. There's badinage aplenty, and we hope you agree that Jim's come up with a belter of an album-length 'Best Of' playlist.

In this week's News of the Bungo: join Brian and his special guest, the musician and author Dave Dawson, as they talk about writing to musicians; what, if anything, they say when they reply; just who Derek and Dave Philpott are and how much of a threat they pose to the world order; how the humble, local shepherd's pie industry has been corrupted by Big Cottage Pie and what many are terming their 'cottaging' practices; learn all the sordid details about Emu and Sigourney Weaver's secret relationship; we uncover the New Wave of British Heavy Metal's secret ear-bleeding shame; and much, much more. We find out about his collaboration with a Blue Öyster Cult legend, and whether you can buy books from a butcher's. Plus you get to find out what Dave meant when he said "I like it the size it is. Maybe a little bigger". Listen to the end for a quasi-musical treat.
In this episode, Brian and Jim create an LP-length playlist from the two Martin Birch-produced BÖC albums, Cultösaurus Erectus and Fire of Unknown Origin. There's our trademark jolly badinage, more insights than you can shake a stick at, and most of all love. We're so respectful of each other that at some points during the pod we each had to shower and towel off. Not together, obviously. But most of all, that love is flung at you, the listener. So suckle at our opinionated Blue Öyster Cult teats, and take comfort from our words, and our knowledge.

Dalia floated like chimney ash up into a shredded sky
It was raining acidic trash, on the moon there crawled a fly
Burning Teslas were driving by
At their wheels, evil clowns
And from the darkness there came a howling
Then somehow it called her down
Brian and Jim select 12 of their favourite Buck Dharma moments for your aural pleasure. They engage in their trademark jolly badinage, and find a way for Jim to take John Shirley into his heart at last. Praise be to John.
