Session 006: Lindsey Noakes | Gather
The Bull Sessions boys are joined by Lindsey Noakes, Co-Founder of Gather, for Session 006. Gather brings people and data together to solve the urban sanitation crisis. Three billion people are living in cities around the world without access to a safe, clean toilet, and Gather uses data to get toilets to people who need them most. Lindsey introduces Gather, explains the power of data and how it can make a critical difference to the sanitation crisis. She outlines Gather’s methods of data collection and how this will provide crucial information for organisations to to build toilets in the areas that need them the most, highlighting the importance of sanitation and the repercussions it has on shaping people’s lives. Lindsey goes on to explain Gather’s growth from one-off funding to an established charity conducting ground-breaking research, while also delving into her personal journey and the risks involved starting Gather. Finally, the boys query Lindsey on some big questions about Gather’s future and its potential impact on solving the sanitation crisis and other global issues. Henry gives his perspective of three days without water, Tom struggles to ask a question, and Lindsey gives her advice for young people seeking to achieve their career goals. ----more----  Check out Gather: http://gatherhub.org https://twitter.com/gatherhub_ Check out Lindsey: https://twitter.com/lindsey_noakes
