With over a third of our lives spent at work, not doing what we love for a living makes little sense. Yet so few do. When asked, eight out of ten people said that they would not return to their places of work if they were given a million pounds. How do we then bridge the gap between the two extremes: happy but broke at one end, wealthy but miserable at the other? in modern times, is it really possible to enjoy meaningful, heart lifting work that also turns a decent wage or profit? This is what we investigate. Welcome to the Buddhist Millionaire Podcast.

Conversations with Buddhist Millionaires: with Alice Crawford, Princess Diana's favourite ballerina

Wow! How did we get here? It only seems like yesterday that episode one of The Buddhist Millionaire Podcast aired and here we are at the conclusion of season two.

Thank you all so much for listening, liking and sharing the episodes and helping make the podcast a global success (we now air in 43 countries in 6 continents- only the penguins are listening in the 7th)

Ok, let’s get onto today’s amazing guest: Alice Crawford.

Any of you remember the 1985 film 'White Knights' staring Gregory Hines and Mikhail Baryshnikov? You can look it up online if you haven’t, but it was a movie that mixed martial arts and ballet.

Ever since that film, as a lifelong martial artist, I’ve been fascinated with the focus, fearlessness and ferocity of ballerinas. You think you train hard? Step into a dance studio and try ballet for a week.

At first glance, you could easily mistake Alice as small, weak, timid. Seconds in her company, though, reveal a certain sparkle in her eye; in minutes you’ll notice a lithe power in her movements; hours later you’ll realise you are spending time with one of the most fearless humans you are ever likely to meet.

The late Princess Diana referred to Alice as her ‘Favourite Ballerina’, while her talents inspired an adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic ‘Alice in Wonderland’, in which she played the eponymous lead role.

There is a ton of stuff to get your teeth into in this episode. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed hosting. Please take a moment to share it with someone you think might benefit.

Until next time.

Lots of love.

Matt and the team x 😊🙏🏻🙏🏻
