The Brooklyn Blast Furnace
Relatively Unscathed
346 episodes
After a little hiatus, the podcast is back with my guest, my man, Chris Fist. Chris has been in the hardcore scene since the first wave of bands in New York City. A founding member of Clenched Fist NYC, as well as playing in everyone from Life's Blood, Mental Abuse, Breakdown, and The Wilding Incident. He was in a bar in Brooklyn with a special appearance from our friend Zak. This isn't even an interview at all. It's a crazy funny conversation that constantly goes off the rails. So strap in and know beforehand that this one is chaotic. Much respect! Jay Way (Bayway. 25 Ta Life. Shattered Realm)
When I say Bayway... you say... Motherfuckers, my guest on this episode of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace is JayWay. Singer for Bayway, 25 Ta Life and guitarist for Shattered Realm. He also has a rap project out under the name JayWay 908. Bayway has quickly caught on with the hardcore scene, and I'm all in as well. I met Jay only a couple months ago in person out on Long Island at a show. We started to bullshit for a few minutes and asked him if he'd be down to come on. We go into that certain moment that we all have that was our turning point headed into the hardcore scene. A couple of his former bands, and eventually the birth of Bayway. He is also the new singer for the legendary 25 Ta Life, so of course, I had to ask how that all came about. A super humble guy who loves and appreciates every aspect of making music and playing liv. He'll be back on the podcast, I'm sure. I hope you all enjoy this. Respect. BAYWAY MOTHERFUCKER! Support: Generation Records 210 Thompson Street West Village, NYC Intro: Phil LoCastro & Joseph A.
