FCC Commissioner Anna Gomez expressed concern, stating, "This appears to be yet another Administration effort to weaponize the power of the FCC. The FCC has no business intimidating and silencing broadcast media."

Some lawmakers are considering proposals to reduce or eliminate taxpayer support for NPR and PBS, citing concerns over content and financial practices.
