SEASON TWO FINALE!   WM Carter (1868-1936) was a cornerstone of Lewisburg and Marshall County during his life time. In this episode, hosted by Teneal Alexander, Yareli Rosales, Caroline McNutt, Gracie Stephens, and Lyle Nelson, The MCHS History Club maps the life of WM Carter!  Carter dedicated his life to the betterment of Marshall County, including his historic 1899 Map of Marshall County. Riding a bicycle across the county, Carter mapped every square mile of Marshall County, even interviewing and documenting the families, farms, and businesses. The Carter Map is still used to this day to varify century farms and is instrumental in historic research. Carter left his mark in Marshall.  We also spend a few minutes with our Senior Members of the History Club for our Senior Sendoff, spotlighting our Class of 2024 members and where they are headed next! We are so thankful for the contributions of Cade Wiggins, Gracie Stephens, Caiden Emmitt, Henry Pearson, 2024 Vice President Lyle Nelson, and 2024 Club President Teneal Alexander and wish them the greatest success as they move on to the next chapters in their lives!
