BACKGROUND INFO on EPILEPSY: Epilepsy is a common condition where sudden bursts of electrical activity in the brain cause seizures or fits. Essentially, the brain’s electrical waves decide to go a bit wild and are soon out of control causing seizures. Seizures are when a person is out of control of their body and usually start thrashing or shaking before falling unconscious. These may be triggered by many things including tiredness, alcohol, drugs, flashing lights or just the brain misbehaving. It varies depending on the person’s brain. If someone does have a seizure then make sure you lay them down or get them outside into some fresh air. Seek medical assistance and once they’re conscious again get lots of sugar back inside of them, food and water.
